“File this bill as a vendor bill.”
Reads the PDF, finds the supplier, the expense account and the tax, and leaves a draft bill with the PDF attached for you to approve.
“What's on my plate this week?”
Lists your open tasks by due date, your opportunities, and what waits for your approval.
“How much do customers owe us, and who's most overdue?”
Sums your open and overdue invoices and names the most overdue.
“I just had a call with ACME: they agreed to a demo on Friday.”
Logs the call on the customer's activity, as you.
Your permissions, your workspace
The AI app works as you, in the one workspace you choose, and never sees or does more than you can in Ship a ERP.
You choose what it may do
Look things up, create drafts, or also approve, post and send. Your administrator sets the most an app may do, and you can disconnect it any time.
Drafts you approve
At the draft level, bills, invoices, quotes and purchase orders arrive as drafts with a link to review them; nothing is posted or sent.
No AI credits
Your own AI app does the reading and the writing, so nothing is spent from your workspace's AI credits.
Connect your AI app
Your workspace administrator turns AI apps on in AI Governance first. Then each person connects their own app:
claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose Add custom connector. Name it Ship a ERP and paste this address:
https://shipaerp.com/mcp
- Select Connect, sign in with your Ship a ERP account, and choose the workspace and what Claude may do there.
- In a chat, turn on the Ship a ERP connector from the tools menu and ask, for example: "What's on my plate in Ship a ERP?"
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector for the organization first; each person then connects their own account.
